Trauma-Informed Physiotherapy
Gina holds a Master’s degree in a relational form of psychodynamic psychotherapy known as the Conversational Model. This approach emphasises the importance of creating a safe, supportive and nurturing therapeutic relationship. Grounded in attachment theory, trauma theory, neuroscience and self-psychology, it deeply informs Gina’s trauma-informed approach to physiotherapy.
Her work integrates body-based, “bottom-up” techniques that support nervous system regulation and create the conditions for healing. By working gently and collaboratively, Gina helps the body process and release the lingering effects of stress and trauma.
Gina takes time to build trust and works at your pace, responding to your unique needs with compassion and understanding. Together, you will listen to your body, exploring how the nervous system, muscles and the intricate web of fascia can carry the imprint of emotional experience. You may consider how posture, breathing and movement patterns have been shaped by life events, and how these patterns can shift with care and awareness.
Using gentle, hands-on techniques, Gina supports you to reconnect with your body’s innate intelligence, helping you rediscover a sense of safety and ease.
Whether you are living with persistent pain, recovering from trauma, or navigating a complex condition, Gina honours the privilege of hearing each client’s story. She is committed to ensuring that every session is grounded in genuine care, deep respect and a wholehearted dedication to supporting your healing journey.
